While Juneau's famous local wolf Romeo may be gone, his spirit still lives on. Juneau photographer Jack Beedle has spotted a wolf-shaped shadow on Mount Stroller White. "Romeo's shadow" can be seen on Mount Stroller White to the left of the Mendenhall Glacier on sunny fall and winter afternoons. According to Beedle, the best viewing is from the Lower Mendenhall Valley.
